Your child needs someone that really knows your child at nursery – someone they trust and can build a secure bond with.  Before your child’s first day you will be introduced to a ‘key person” who will build a special relationship with you and your child.  Your child will have a safe, secure & consistent base to return to, physically or emotionally, when they need to.  The key person is in the best position to understand your child’s needs and to share information with you about their day at nursery.

Feeling Cherished    The key person will get to know all the details of how you care for your child to help them feel special and cherished.  Your child’s key person will listen and help your child express themselves fully.  Your child needs confidence to try new things and their key person will help them build relationships with other adults and children in the setting.

Tracking Your Child’s Progress    Your child’s key person will be responsible for monitoring your child’s learning and development.  You will be able to see your child’s next steps on the online learning journey through the APP.  Your child’s key person will fully support and encourage you to upload photographs and observations from home so you can be part of their learning.
