Staff – Training
Kaleidoscope has been continuously recognised as an "Investor in People" since 2000 and we place training high on our list of priorities for quality.
We aim to offer the best training opportunities whereby staff can develop to their full potential. We celebrate our achievements at our annual company conference and we have a full day training annually so we can work with team members from other sites. All our caring staff are either qualified child carers or are working towards a child care qualification and working in partnership with local training providers we are able to offer NVQ training and assessment on site.
We train staff in first aid, safeguarding children and food safety as mandatory and because we are firmly committed to lifelong learning we encourage our staff to take advanced qualifications and personal development courses. All staff have a personal training file and we provide support and financial help wherever needed. Several of our staff have achieved degrees in Early Years or Childhood Studies whilst working for us and have gone on to become Early Years Professionals with Kaleidoscope.
A highly trained staff team will be more equipped to offer the highest standards of child care and we have achieved the Leeds Quality Assurance standard. Our York sites are part of the York Steps to Quality scheme and ongoing quality improvement underpins our Kaleidoscope Development Plans. Because we are a growing company, we are always looking for quality people at all levels. There are many opportunities for promotion and we do like to promote from within wherever possible.
