In November 1999, we purchased
a run down bakery premises in Albert Road, Morley,
Leeds as the site for our third Nursery. The 200
year old premises were originally a farmhouse and
barn but they have been converted to exacting standards
to provide a 52 place Nursery for babies and children
up to 5 and a 30 place out of school club for children
up to age 11.
The Nursery is situated just off the main Dewsbury
to Leeds road, opposite Newlands Primary School
on the outskirts of Morley. The buildings provide
a bright and spacious yet warm and welcoming environment
in which children can flourish and be happy.
There is a separate baby room and conservatory for
the very young to allow an especially high staffing
ratio and safe environment for babies who can't
yet walk. With its own milk kitchen & separate
nappy changing facilities, scrupulous standards
of hygiene can be maintained and specialist foods
or milk can be made up or stored.
The toddler rooms are equipped with resources and
toys designed to help children learn through discovery,
exploration and play. There are also 2 pre school
rooms and a bright and spacious conservatory with
its own entrance and facilities for KOOSH
club.
To the rear of the property, hidden from the road
is a large lawn and Nursery garden where the children
grow organic vegetables and flowers. There is also
a separate baby garden, a patio area and an all
weather, soft surface play area for our climbing
frames and outdoor equipment.
