Kaleidoscope's second Nursery opened in 1998 following a lengthy, but successful tender bid for the provision of Nursery facilities for students and staff of the college of York St John, whose fees are discounted. The Nursery also offers some of its 30 places to external clients, but because of its central location, demand for these places is extremely high.

The Nursery is situated just outside the York City walls in an extended Georgian property within the beautiful grounds of the College. It has been extensively refurbished to exacting standards, providing a bright and homely environment in which children can flourish and be happy.
There are specialist rooms for babies and toddlers, areas for creative activities, music, story and drama, early learning, areas for rest or quiet play and preschool teaching. To the rear of the property, hidden from the road, is a large, walled butterfly garden where the children grow their own organic vegetables and flowers. There is also an all weather play area, a soft surface play area for our climbing frames and a lawned picnic garden.

If you have school aged children, we can provide wrap around care for children attending Park Grove Primary School and St Wilfred. Before and after school care is provided at our KOOSH Club at nearby Park Grove Primary School and holiday care at our KOOSH Club at Haxby Road Primary School.
