Nursery Philosophy

Our philosophy is the same now as it was when we opened our first Nursery in 1991: "children learn through play" and we try to ensure that the learning environment is bright and spacious, yet warm and welcoming.
Babies are so precious and need gentle, loving care in their first years. We provide self-contained baby and toddler rooms to allow an especially high staffing ratio and continuity of care for the very young.
From birth, children are competent and capable, with an incredible curiosity. We build upon this by offering very young children the opportunity to explore and experiment with natural and man made resources in a safe and comforting environment.

The Nurseries are divided into areas of learning designed to provide a wide range of choices and opportunities. This allows children to thrive and develop in a rich and stimulating environment. Areas are also provided for rest and relaxation.
Above all, we are genuinely "family centered", recognizing that parents are the child's preliminary educators. We aim to work in partnership with home, utilizing parental knowledge and expertise and providing opportunities for sharing and recording children's progress together.
